Logitech promises up to 24 months of battery life on a single AA battery for the Lift. This mouse and I have already done so much work for this site. I will definitely not be using this mouse for gaming and will instead go back to one of my original carpal tunnel offenders, the wired Logitech G203. While I like the Logitech Lift for general browsing and work, I still feel a little limited when shuffling between tight menu items or adjusting the slider in programs like Adobe Lightroom. It works best with small, subtle movements, and every slight twist of the wrist is immediately displayed on the screen. Using the Logitech Lift is similar to moving the pen on a WACOM tablet. But after about a week, I began to feel more comfortable with the movements required to control such a mouse. When I first held it in my hands, I immediately regretted it, because it was a completely different feeling than what I was used to. It took me a while to adjust to Logitech Lift. Instead, it gives the impression that you are drawing a big picture with a handy tool. Because it’s a vertical mouse, this is where you’ll find your movements are focused rather than moving your wrist left and right like you would with a standard mouse. The dirt on my test Logitech Lift device is concentrated around the parts you hold on to the most: your thumb and forefinger. I love the Logitech Lift Rose color even though I got my hands dirty.

Now we need to figure out how to clean it. The only major downside to this $70 vertical mouse is that it’s not finger smudge resistant. The handshake-style handshake gives my fingers a lot more room to breathe. After a few weeks of use, I’m looking forward to sitting down at the Logitech Lift to work through the day. Luckily, with the Lift’s cute colors and modern styling, I don’t have to give up looks for ergonomics. The G305 is a solid wireless mouse, but I had to face the reality that aesthetics are not something I could continue to prioritize without putting more strain on my body. While I had a flare-up of wrist pain before calling this mouse in for a review, things got significantly better when I switched to the Lift from another Logitech mouse, the G305. This is my first time using this vertical mouse, but it seems like the right entry point into a world of better ergonomics. Logitech Lift couldn’t come at a better time. Ever since I started working from home – long before this pandemic hit – I’ve been slouching, propping up keyboards and monitors incorrectly, and using the wrong mice. It’s probably because I’m getting older, but I also have carpal tunnel due to years of poor posture and ergonomics. The Logitech Lift is a solid vertical mouse, but it’s too sensitive to finger grease.
